​WELCOME TO THE NORWALK HIGH SCHOOL MUSIC DEPARTMENT!

Welcome to the Norwalk High School Instrumental Music Department's main page. Our program consists of several different groups which include the Norwalk Lancer Regiment (the marching band), Concert Band, String Orchestra, Drumline, Jazz Band, and the Lancer Bunch (Pep Band). We take pride in our family-oriented group atmosphere, superb musicianship, and energetic performances. Each year, our organizations play for thousands of people around Southern California. The program serves over 100 students participating in competitions, concerts, school activities, and city events. The Norwalk High School Instrumental Music program is the most active performing organization in Norwalk. Please visit our "Future Lancer" tab if you are the parent of an incoming freshman. Our program's objectives are:

• To nurture character development in students through arts education; 
• To produce high-quality performances.
• To provide students with an enriching, life-changing experience.
• To provide students with the fundamental skills necessary to pursue careers in the arts after high school.
